Trademark Registration:

  • Basically, a trademark (TM) is a “brand” or “logo” that distinguishes your product from those of your competitors. Through trademark registration, you can protect your brand or logo by restricting other people from using the same. For e.g. the logo of SUBWAY and their tagline EAT FRESH is a registered trademark. It provides them protection as it is illegal to use the same logo or tagline.
  • A registered trademark is an intangible asset for a business and is used to protect the company’s investment in the brand or symbol. TM number is assigned within a period of three days by Trademark department but it takes almost two years for it to be registered so that you can use to use ® symbol with your brand name. It is always advised to get trademark registration because getting your company registered will not protect your brand against those who might initiate using identical or similar marks. Trademark Registration is done through “Acquittance”.

Copyright Registration

  • Copyright registration in India is governed under Copyright Act, 1957. It provides a kind of safety so that the work carried out by the creator of work cannot be copied by anyone and to restore the uniqueness of the product. There are bundles of rights under Copyright like communication to the public, the rights of reproduction, adaptation, and translation of the work.
  • Copyright is basically a legal right which has been provided to the creators of literature, dramatics, musical and artistic work and even the producer’s films and sound recordings. Sometimes even businesses and startups get copyright registration related to instruction manuals, product literature and user guides. Usually, copyright is possessed by a creator of the work, but sometimes even the employer of its creator or the person who has authorized the work can own the copyright.

FSSAI Registration

  • FSSAI is an abbreviation used for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). FSSAI license is mandatory before starting any food business. All the manufacturers, traders, restaurants who are involved in food business must obtain a 14-digit registration or a license number which must be printed on food packages.
  • This step is taken by government to ensure that food products undergo certain quality checks, thereby reducing the instances of adulteration, substandard products and improve accountability of manufacturers. FSSAI Registration is done through “Acquittance”.

Import Export Code (IEC)

  • IEC registration is required by a person for exporting or importing goods. It is a 10 digit code which is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). All businesses which are engaged in Import and Export of goods require registering Import Export Code. IE code has lifetime validity. Importers are not allowed to proceed without this code and exporters can’t take benefit of exports from DGFT, customs, Export Promotion Council, if they don’t have this code.
  • The IEC must be quoted by importers while clearing customs. Also, banks require the importers IEC while sending money abroad. For exporters, IEC must be quoted while sending shipments and banks require the exporters IEC while receiving money from abroad. IEC Registration can be done through “Acquittance”.

MSME Registration

  • MSME stands for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise. MSME enterprises are the foundation of any economy and are an engine of economic growth, advancing impartial improvement for all. Therefore, to promote and support MSMEs, the Government of India through different subsidies, plans and incentives promote MSMEs through the MSMED Act. To profit the advantages under the MSMED Act from Central or State Government and the Banking Sector, MSME Registration is required. Micro scale, Small and Medium sized enterprises in both the production & service sector can get MSME Registration under the MSMED Act. Though the MSME registration is not statutory, it is helpful for business as it gives it a scope of advantages such as eligibility for lower rates of interest, power tariff subsidies, tax subsidies, excise exemption scheme, capital investment subsidies and other support.

Shop & Establishment Registration

  • As every shop and establishment has to be registered under the Shop and Establishment Act, “Acquittance” provides services regarding the registration of such shop or establishment in the region of Delhi-NCR. Such Shops and establishment include hotels, restaurants, eating houses, theatres and other places of public amusement or entertainments. As per statutory requirement every shop or establishment has to register itself within 30 Days of its Commencement of work, and we providing such registration services facilities in a efficient manner.

RERA

  • Under the Act, a separate authority for each State would be formed called “Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). RERA is intended to perform the same role for property transactions as the SEBI does for security transactions in the Capital Markets. Thus, RERA is expected to maintain comprehensive records for every project across the entire time frame i.e. from the conceptualization registration to the project to its completion.
  • Compulsory registrations of the Real Estate projects and the Agents is mandated under the Act. Registration must be done before the promoter or Real Estate Agents can advertise or market or sell or offer the concerned property for sale, whether residential or commercial.
